More May Events on FB

What a wonderful cover by Penguin Threads by Jillian Tamaki? I had to share it with you.

The usual monthly meetings of Weegie Wednesday is on May 18th and Word Play at the Tron on the 25th of May.

I apologise. I missed out too many events in May on this blog as I put up the events list too early. Please check out details of all the events on the Glasgowlitcorner FB page. There are events on 11th, 13th, 15th 18th and the 19th of May. An eclectic mixture of words in play.
You can take part in a Graphic Novel group, read a media publication at the launch of 'Bad news from Israel', enjoy Poetry at the Ivory, even witness a Matsuri Festival of Japanese poetry and I quote: 'A unique event with Scottish poets Alec Finlay and Ken Cockburn, who have been travelling around Scotland inspired and guided by Japanese poet Basho for the past year. To accompany the 100-haiku word map of Scotland performed by Finlay and Cockburn along with ten other poet friends, there's music and teas from Japan and China, served by the Hidden Gardens' cultural cookery group' or be entranced by a Portuguese singer combining American blues with Argentinian national music. What riches to dip into? Go and enjoy!
