Love Words and the New Makar

A great Valentine's evening of love poems and some 'not so love poems' at the GOMA. Glasgow's enviable talent was showcased with poems that made one laugh, catch one's breath, blush reminscing or secretly crave for the big red hearted card on the 14th. The event was even more memorable as Colin Will took over as the new Makar from Sheila Templeton who 'had sizzled and scintillated' the Feds for a year(quoting Etta Dunn our compere for the evening). Colin read some wonderful poems and kept us all enthralled.
Two other events were taking place the same evening so some intrepid poets rushed over to the Mirrorball for more. Some of us listened to some more poems by other poets, ably compered by Gail and aided by AC Clarke. I returned home sated with words that rang in my ears and filled my heart with joy.

btw Don't miss the sweet meerkats(donated by Monica) posing so well in front of the shield.
